Since this is my first post, bear with me. Dave and I have been married for almost 32 years. I am Mom to twins (Justin and Jessica) who are now 25 y/o and triplets (Matthew, Ashley and Rebecca) that are 23 y/o. I also have a grandson, Jack, who is 8 months old. Jessica is married to Ryan for going on 3 years and Ashley is married to Justin (another Justin) for almost 2 years. They have provided me with Jack, the cutest boy on the planet--not that I am prejudiced.
I teach in a dual language school where I am the Spanish immersion first grade teacher. My partner and friend, Denise, is the English immersion teacher. Every week we change homeroom classes. So, the students have English for one week and then switch to Spanish the next. It is a great program for most students. The classes are made up of 50% English dominant students and 50% Spanish dominant students. I have been teaching for 16 years. I was a stay-at-home mom until my husband lost his job. I thought I would sub until he found a job, but instead, you guessed it, I am the one who 'found' a job. Dave has been working at the same place for almost ten years. Yeah!
We were on Spring break last week. What gorgeous weather we had! I didn't go anywhere special. But I did go Outlet shopping with my friend Deirdre but did not buy anything for myself. Jack, however, has more summer clothes now.
Later in the week, Ashley, Jack and I went to another outlet mall where I had much more luck. I had picked out a shirt when a somewhat older lady commented on how pretty it was. Well, that was almost the kiss of death for that shirt! So, I bought it and said if I decided against it I would give it to my mother. The next night I wore it to go out for dinner with friends and neighbors Mary and Bill to "It's Only Natural", a vegan restaurant where my son is a chef. The meals were oh-so-delicioso! I got to order off the menu because I had an 'in' with one of the chefs. Later that night, my chef son, Matthew, said that three of his co-workers came up to him and said that I looked too young to be his mom!!! Needless to say, the shirt is a keeper.
